Homemade Pumpkin Butter

This is a super simple recipe with tons of flavor. Any time you need your Fall fix, just spread this on some thick toasted brioche or in some pastry dough.

  • Ingredients
  • 1-15 oz can pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 cup fresh apple cider
  • pinch of kosher salt

Method
 

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a small sauce pan. Over low heat let the mixture cook for about 25-30 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated. The mixture will be smooth and spreadable. Let it cool and you can hole in a container for up to 1 month. This makes the perfect gift as well.
