If you live in or around the mid-west, especially near Chicago, like we do… than you know that this is usually a snowy time of year. We have been very lucky this year with a pretty mild winter, yet when you have little ones anything under like 50 degrees is too cold to be spending a long amount of time outside. I try and get them out as much as possible, but it is definitely a lot more indoor activities this time of year. Every so often we get a day that is snowy, but not too cold and that day was today!!
We got to get outside and have some fun in the snow!! Although we had a great time outside and the girls loving eating and playing in the snow!!! My favorite part of playing outside in the snow has always been the coming in and enjoying some hot coca to warm up! I am huge hot cocoa lover and I want to share that with my girls.
I have a bunch of different ways to make hot chocolate from the packet or the k-cups to thick and creamy made with Hershey’s bars. I will continue to share some awesome recipes, but today we made an extra yummy one. We made Nutella hot chocolate!!! My girls both love Nutella, which is not shocking since in our family it is more popular than peanut butter!! I have a ton of ways to enjoy Nutella, but this may be my favorite! It is so simple and takes the same amount of time to make as it would to open the packet and add hot water or milk. It only has two ingredients and your family is going to love it and crave it! Check out the recipe below! Enjoy and stay warm!!
