White Wine Slushies

These are like adult slurpy’s and are so easy to make and so delish! And new favorite way to enjoy a glass of wine on a hot day. I am usually a red wine gal, but these are a great way to mix in white wine and make it so yummy!! You can do these with almost any of your favorite fruits, but here we are going to show you a peach version.

Watermelon Margaritas

Who doesn’t love a good margarita? There are a million varieties and recipes for margaritas, but for summer, I love watermelon. Also, make sure you use a good tequila and make a pitcher of these… They will go fast!

[lt_recipe name=”Watermelon Margaritas” summary=”Watermelon anything is great for summer, but these will quench your thirst for sure. You can make any fruit into a margarita really, but this is my favorite and I think you will love them too.” servings=”4″ total_time=”10M” print=”yes” image=”https://happychefmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/watermelon-margarita-e1530292971686.png” ingredients=”1 1/2 cups cubed seedless watermelon;1 cup good quality tequila;1/2 cup lime juice;1/2 cup orange liqueur;1-2 tbsp sugar, check the sweetness of the watermelon to see how much you need;1/2 tsp salt;3 cups ice;;” ]Puree all ingredients together in a blender and pour into glasses;;Garnish with watermelon wedge, optional;[/lt_recipe]

Sangria Swirl

So, these I was totally obsessed with on my honeymoon. They basically combine versions of the first two drinks on the list. It is a wine/sangria slushie mixed with a frozen margarita. It is the absolute best of both worlds. You cannot go wrong with this drink.

[lt_recipe name=”Sangria Swirl” summary=”Frozen Sangria and frozen Margarita swirled together, I mean come on, does is get any better. Need I say more…” servings=”6″ total_time=”15M” print=”yes” image=”https://happychefmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Sangria-Swirl-e1530293770102-252×300.jpg” ingredients=”Sangria;1 cup red wine;1 orange, juiced;1 lime, juiced;1 lemon, juiced;2 cups ice;;Margarita;1 can frozen limeade concentrate;1/4 cup good quality tequila;2 cups ice” ]Make your frozen sangria mixture first. Blend all ingredients together in the blender until smooth. Put this mixture into the freezer while you make your margaritas.;;In a clean blender bowl, combine all the margarita ingredients and blend until smooth.;;This step is optional, but it adds a nice touch. On a small plate, combine sugar and coarse salt and rim your glass with lime and then dip into sugar and salt mixture.;;To make your swirl, layer one layer of margarita and then one layer of sangria and repeat. To create more of a swirl effect, put either a straw or cocktail spoon into the cocktail and pull straight up the side. Do this a few times around the glass and you will create the swirl look.;[/lt_recipe]

Frozen Gin Infused Cocktails

Gin has been becoming increasingly trendy for the past few years now. So it really is no surprise that it would make its mark on the frozen cocktail scene as well. Now, I am not a big Gin drinker at all. However, due to a previous coworker/friend, I learned to give it a second look. Prior to being pregnant, I would even order the occasional French 75. A lot of gin inspired cocktails are going frozen this summer, even the classic gin and tonic. But I am in love with this recipe that I actually originally found in Bon Appetite. So, I am going to share this one with you today, but feel free to get experimenting with your favorite gin concoction.

[lt_recipe name=”Pineapple and Gin Frozen Cocktail” summary=”I originally found this recipe in Bon Appetite. So they get the credit for this one, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.” servings=”4″ total_time=”15M” print=”yes” image=”https://happychefmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/pineapple-and-gin-frozen-cocktail-300×169.jpg” ingredients=”3 cups pineapple pieces, frozen; plus wedges for serving (optional);;6 oz. gin;;2 oz. simple syrup;;1 oz. fresh lime juice;;1 oz. pineapple juice;;Mint sprigs (for serving; optional);;” ]Puree pineapple, gin, simple syrup, lime juice, pineapple juice and ice in the blender until very smooth. The mixture will appear very thick, it will loosen up once it is poured.;;Divide amongst the glasses and garnish is preferred with pineapple and mint[/lt_recipe]

Frozen Hot Chocolate

This one is dessert/cocktail for me and it is one of my all time favorite things. This is the Adult/summer version of hot chocolate. Who says it’s too hot for hot chocolate… never!! Just freeze it!!  And don’t forget to make it boozy, of course!

[lt_recipe name=”Frozen Hot Chocolate” summary=”This is an adult, summer favorite that came from a kid, winter tradition. We flipped it on its head and made it grown up and frozen.” servings=”4″ total_time=”10M” print=”yes” image=”https://happychefmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Frozen-hot-chocolate-300×225.jpg” ingredients=”4 (1-ounce) envelopes hot cocoa mix, divided;;3 cups milk;;3/4 cup vanilla vodka;;6 cups ice;;1/4 cup mini marshmallows, for garnish;” ]Empty 1 envelope hot cocoa mix onto a saucer. Put some water into another saucer. Dip the rims of 4 martini glasses into the water and shake off any excess. Dip them in the hot cocoa mix. (Save the remainder for garnish.) ;;In a blender, combine the remaining the hot cocoa mix, milk, vodka, and ice and blend until smooth. Divide the mixture among the prepared glasses and garnish with the marshmallows and remaining cocoa mixture. ;[/lt_recipe]
