So much fun at lunch with these two cuties yesterday!! We went communion dress shopping for Lil, which… pause for a moment on how we are already talking about her communion!! Just yesterday I was planning her baptism 😭

Yet, I wanted to take them somewhere fun and different,(not McDonald’s or noodles and company)! Not that I don’t love both of those… but somewhere we haven’t been 50 million times!

We ended up finding this cute spot called @codadivolpeealing . It was perfect because these girls had pasta, I had pizza and we all had a fun drink!! Plus they had an amazing dessert that Lil could actually eat!! So hard with her tree nut allergy!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway, we loved it!! If you find yourself on the North side of Chicago… go check out Coda di Volpe! You’ll love it!! We did! Plus I loved having the day with my girls! 💕

We love @swissmissbrand hot cocoa and so for these hot cocoa cookies I add in packets of hot cocoa mix along with cocoa powder.

Gotta have a marshmallow with your hot cocoa and cannot forget the extra chocolate of chocolate chips AND chocolate on top!

These cookies are even more yummy with a cup of hot cocoa or Nutella hot chocolate!!

New Year’s Eve dinner for 5 😉 Kiddos feeling a little under the weather this year, so we are having a quiet celebration at home. Still having yummy food and lots of games!!

I love my crew and I am so thankful for them. This year has not ended the way I had hoped. It’s been a very rough road the past few months, but I am so glad and grateful to have been surrounded by the people I love. My family and friends have been incredibly supportive.

I am hoping 2025 will start out with some answers, some clarity and the wins we need. Yet, I know that no matter what happens I have the absolute best support system a woman can ever ask for. IYKYK… I love you all!!

New Year’s Eve dinner for 5 😉 Kiddos feeling a little under the weather this year, so we are having a quiet celebration at home. Still having yummy food and lots of games!!

I love my crew and I am so thankful for them. This year has not ended the way I had hoped. It’s been a very rough road the past few months, but I am so glad and grateful to have been surrounded by the people I love. My family and friends have been incredibly supportive.

My sister was not a cook by any means, but she loved to bake! I absolutely love how food creates and holds memories. Now that she is gone, every time we are missing her we can make this banana bread and smile thinking of her💕

I feel like she’s giving me a big hug when I am making and eating this banana bread. It is such an amazing feeling to be able to connect with those we love through food.

I know she is with us in our hearts every day. I love you always sister. 🥰

This homemade chili is a total go to in our house this time of year for Football season!! If I’m not making pasta on Sunday, I am making THIS!!

Key elements that set this chili apart… a corona beer, dried chilis and two kinds of meat and two kinds of beans!

I slow cook this down for 3-4 hours before I add the beans. We love it with cheddar, green onions and sour cream. The kids love to dip with the @officialfritos scoops!! We also eat it for meals all week long and can add it to tacos or even dips!

Also, big tip here… check your seasoning as it cooks. Don’t just add your seasoning one and done. Check after it’s been simmering and if it needs more, add more!! Taste your food friends!!
