S’mores Bites
It’s summer, it’s camping season- whether that means in the great outdoors or in the great backyard or even in the great living room!! Camping and Summer are in full swing! Which means, S’mores are all the rage!! What is not to love about a S’more? Grahams–good! Melty Marshmallow–good! Gooey chocolate–good!!! Now, there is of course the original good, ole’ fashion S’more where you take a graham cracker, toast or burn a marshmallow and top that with a square of Hershey’s chocolate and another graham cracker. These are the classic for a reason and they are amazing just as they are. Yet, they are not always large group friendly or if you don’t…

Tomato Jam
This tomato jam is ridiculous!! I am not even a big tomato fan, at all… but this tomato jam, you could slather on a bumper and I would eat it. It is absolutely incredible on the BLT Jam Turkey sandwich, but you can put this on burgers or chicken sandwiches. You can spread it on to make grown up grilled cheese sandwiches. Or you can just grab a spoon out of the drawer and go to town!! Jam goood!!!! I. Love. This. Jam. The End!

Roasted Garlic Aioli
Here is the roasted garlic aioli that I use on the BLT Jam and so many other sandwiches. It is also amazing on burgers or even just as a dipping sauce for hot, crispy fries! This is an awesome spread for sandwiches or burgers. It also makes a great dipping sauce for fries, chicken fingers and so much more!

Picnic Sandwiches
Here are some awesome sandwiches to pack for a summer picnic or beach day. Or even just a Tuesday! These are classic sandwich flavor combos flipped on their heads and made with a more modern and/or upscale feel. Summer isn’t over yet, so pack up those baskets and get out there and enjoy the warm weather, some great company and some awesome sandwiches!! This is a super easy, two part sandwich that holds up and travels well. The slaw on this sandwich is stupid good and the chicken just melts in your mouth. All topped off with a buttery brioche roll... how can you go wrong! Chef’s tip-Marking the chicken on the grill…

Revival Food Hall
So the one really fun thing about the fact that my husband and I both work in the city is that every once in a while, we can sneak away and grab a quick lunch date. We don’t often get out without the girls, which I know all of you fellow Mama’s and Papa’s out there get that. So, when we can get the chance to grab a bite to eat and have some adult conversation, we jump at the chance. One of the places that we like to sneak away to is called Revival Food Hall. I feel like I need to say this quietly as they are pretty much direct competition…

Grilling season is coming soon!!
Last night, the clouds parted and the rain lifted and it was like, AHHHHH…. SUNSHINE!!! If you are in the Chicago area you completely understand what I mean!! That being said, I was more than anxious to get outside and fire up the girl!! I absolutely love Fall and winter comfort foods, do not mistake that. However, when you live somewhere like Chicago and you only get a short amount of time to be cooking outdoors, you need to take advantage of it. Also, when you have been cooped up all winter and it has been raining like you live somewhere that gets a monsoon season… you are ready for sunshine!! As we…

Anniversary Dinner
A couple of weeks ago my hubby and I went out and celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere that we had never been to together and somewhere special and nicer than usual. We chose to go to The Capital Grille in Lombard, which I have been to and he had not. We could not have asked for a better dinner or a better experience. We truly felt like we got out and went back in time to when we were dating before marriage and kids and real responsibilities! We got to just enjoy each others company with amazing food and incredible service. When we arrived they had a “Happy…
